Community feedback encouraged to determine future of Trojan Park

TROY, TX – On Monday evening residents of Troy met to discuss potential long-term changes for Trojan Park.

Ideas were varied and included discussions of adding walking trails, increasing park safety, planting “memorial trees”, and building a community garden among many other ideas.

Attendees included Gaby Warlick, Meara Buck, and Shellie Downing of the newly formed Greater Troy Chamber of Commerce, Master Gardner Debbie Thompson, in addition to representatives of City of Troy leadership, Gary Smith and council person Laurie Bailey. Chuck Ramm, Assistant Director of Temple Parks and Recreation attended and provided feedback on how best to plan long-term.

Residents of Troy are encouraged to participate in an online survey to gather community feedback. Information gathered from the survey will aid in additional discussions and future planning.

Elevate Troy, a committee of the newly formed Greater Troy Chamber of Commerce is aiding in the direction of the project.
